Deep into the elements that define and differentiate destinations, Costa Rica is a pretty sweet place to be. Costa Rica will ignite the senses, cleanse the soul and leave you with an overwhelming sense of Pura Vida, meaning Pure Life.

While this is a very popular thing to be said out loud in response to almost everything whilst in Costa Rica, it is more the essence of the meaning behind the ever so popular saying that Costa Rica embodies.

It symbolizes the idea of simply enjoying life and being happy. It’s no surprise then that Costa Rica is one of the top 10 happiest places on the planet and home to one of only 5 blue zones in the world, designated zones where some of the worlds longest-lived people thrive. These are people that live to 100 and beyond in good health, of sound mind and genuinely happy. There are many things that determine a blue zone, this is why there are only 5 in the whole world however, one of the findings is that all the zones shared a deep appreciation for nature, family and friends and held tightly a sense of time freedom.

Pura Vida is about connection.

This national mantra embodies the most beautiful philosophy we have ever known and why our founder Penny Light choose to make Costa Rica home for 6 years. Pura Vida is all about accepting the beauty in the world no matter what may be happening around you. Pura vida is all about seeing every experience in life as a gift. It’s the essence of Costa Rica and if you can learn to embrace it, Costa Rica will surely embrace you.

In Costa Rica the hours are gloriously long and moments even seem to stand still because here, you can feel each second. Here, in Costa Rica you naturally fall into step with the pace of nature, and learn its ancient secret of time.

Lush jungle spills onto golden sand beaches. Crashing waves kiss the shore. Divers plunge deep into the ocean. Surfers hide in the tubes. Monkeys shout from the treetops above gushing waterfalls. Volcanoes bubble and erupt over valleys. Butterflies flutter across flower covered mountains. Sunrises and sunsets demand standing ovations. The moon and the stars light up the nights.

Costa Rica is undoubtedly one of the most magical places in the entire world. Costa Rica reminds us how it feels to be truly alive.

Day 1. Welcome to Costa Rica!

This is where our adventure begins!  Forget about the bustle and hassle of airports and planes.  You are in the tropics now!

Your private transportation will meet you at the Liberia Int. Airport (LIR)  and drive you to your lush jungle mountain accommodation for the next two days / three nights (aprox 1.5 hours driving)

You will notice that most of the roads are on the narrow side, and wind up and down mountains.  Navigating them is part of the adventure!  Sit back, relax and enjoy your ride!

Day 2. TENORIO VOLCANO AREA

Overlooking a fresh water river and immersed in lush tropical forests , our jungle mountain Lodge is a great place for both nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Today, start with yoga on the private yoga deck, the sound of a river flowing, and the birds singing in the background. Today, you’ll have a chance to explore private trails, gardens and orchards, horseback ride, swim in the fresh water river, soak in the rivers natural hot tub, meet the wonderful staff and try some delicious  "farm to table" Costa Rican meals.

Day 3. TENORIO VOLCANO AREA

After a light morning yoga class and a hearty farm to table Costa Rican breakfast, we adventure out to Tenorio National Park, for a nature hike to its famous Rio Celeste waterfall. On our way back we visit Finca  Cata, a 25 acre sustainable agriculture farm and conservation area that produces Cacao. Enjoy a typical lunch and learn how to make chocolate the traditional way.

• Farm tour and chocolate-making class at Finca Cata
• Lunch at Finca Cata

Day 4. Tamarindo

Right after morning yoga and breakfast wedrive for about 2 hours to Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Enjoy a guided hike through Pailas trail. Then we visit Hacienda Guachipelin for a buffet lunch and explore it's beautiful Oropendola Waterfall, followed by a relaxing time at Rio Negro Hot springs.

Afterwards, we continue driving (for about 2 hours) to our hotel in Tamarindo. After getting settled in the night is yours to explore the town.

Day 5. Tamarindo

Morning Yoga, of course. Then, opt for a surf lesson, where Nico and his team will teach you, in the most professional way, how to read the swell, sync with the Pacific waves, and achieve your balance while having fun.

OR, explore Isla Capitan by paddling by kayak, Sup or outrigger canoe. Our partners at Costa Rica SUP & Surf operation is highly sustainable, with a zero-plastic policy and respectful of the ocean and beach environment.

Day 6. Tamarindo

After yoga, your morning is free to enjoy the surroundings or book one of the optional activities in the area.

Early afternoon, you'll be driven to Flamingo-Potrero Bay to board our sunset sail boat! Swap out land for sea and board a private sail boat to explore the magic of the pacific ocean! There is nothing like the sailing into the beauty of the sunset on the pacific ocean. This will be a day never forgotten.

Day 7. Tamarindo

After yoga, your morning is free explore the surroundings, or lounge on the beach.

This afternoon we visit the world’s biggest labyrinth, in the middle of the dry tropical forest of Guanacaste, offering a perfect gateway to another realm!

Labyrinths have only one path, they symbolize our journey in life, and takes us inward, guiding us to discover who we are.

This labyrinth was the first certified by the United Nations, under the program Senderos De Paz Madre Tierra.

Our farewell dinner will take place here, under the stars.
